Monaco connectors maintain the 50-ohm impedance of the coaxial cable with minimal RF loss. Monaco typically uses three types of crimp-style connectors: Connects 50-ohm coaxial cable to an RFM, a transceiver, or a conventional or addressable fire panel. The male version is shown on the left.

Use for communicating with a Monaco RFM 7000, a Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) narrowband radio modem. Remote units that communicate with the D-21 using the RFM 7000 include the BT2-7, BT2-8, BT2-8S, BT-X, and M-2 conventional and addressable fire alarm control panels.
