Standing as a beacon of innovation, sustainability, and forward-thinking infrastructure, Abu Dhabi is the ideal home for the region's first NIO Power Swap Station - a testament to the city's role as the gateway to a smarter, greener future.
Dubai: ADNOC Distribution and Terra Tech Ltd. have launched Abu Dhabi's first battery-swapping station for electric motorbikes, marking a major milestone in the emirate's clean mobility drive.
Since launch, 15% of NIO users in the UAE have adopted the battery swapping option and it is expected to rise. NIO is aiming to scale this infrastructure with speed, which is why they're planning more stations. The plan also includes one in Dubai, which they're set to open in the coming weeks.
Occupying the same footprint as four parking spaces, NIO Power Swap Station 3.0, capable of holding up to 21 batteries, is a groundbreaking charging solution designed to eliminate range concerns and deliver unparalleled convenience. PSS 3.0 is capable of performing up to 408 battery swaps in a single day.
