India Imposes Anti-Dumping Duty On Imported
India has imposed an anti-dumping duty on solar glass originating in or exported from China and Vietnam for a period of 5 years.
From pv magazine India India has imposed antidumping duties on textured toughened (tempered) glass in solar panels and solar thermal products from China and Vietnam for a period of six months, starting Dec. 4, 2024.

India's Ministry of Finance has imposed an anti-dumping duty on solar glass imports from China and Vietnam. The anti-dumping duties aim to protect the domestic solar glass industry from unfair pricing practices. The duty on Chinese imports ranges from $673 to $677 per metric tonne, while imports from Vietnam face a duty of $565 per metric tonne.
Borosil Renewables claimed that dumped imports were undermining prices in the domestic industry. The DGTR said that imports from China and Vietnam, totaling 779,017 metric ton, made up almost 98% of India's solar glass imports during the investigation period.
